March 11 & 12, 2010

Thursday, March 11, 2010:

The group met at the Adams County Public Trustee’s Training Room for lunch. Dee Ann Stults, Vice President, welcomed everyone and called the business meeting to order at 1:00 p.m.  After saying the Pledge of Allegiance, the group was asked to look over the minutes.  Lorraine moved to accept the minutes as written, Diane seconded, and the motion was passed.  The Treasurer’s Report was given, and will be filed for audit.

Under Old Business the Nomination Committee Chair, Jim Covington moved the following current officers keep their positions if Linda loses the horn.  Carol made the motion with an amendment that they will stay in office until March 2011.  Jim also made the amendment to forget about the horn. After discussion, Jim seconded the motion as amended that the current officers keep their positions until March 2011.  The amended motion was passed.

The next Eastern Division meeting will be held in La Junta, on Sept. 16 and 17, 2010 at the Hampden Inn.  The 2011Spring meeting was discussed, and Jim offered to host it in Limon.

Reports were given:  Treasurer’s Legislative Report:  Bob Sagel, he also gave the Public Trustee Legislative Report. 

Nomination Committee will be appointed in September meeting.  Program Committee will be Dennis Smith.  Entertainment committee will be Lynne Bauer and Alynn Huffman.

Sharon Jones announced the Metro meeting will be May 14.  2010. Summer Conference will be held June 28-July 2 in Colorado Springs.  There is a Pre-Conference meeting on March 23 at 11:30 at the Antlers.  2011 Summer Conference will be held June 19 – 24 at the Ameristar in Gilpin County.  2010 Fall Seminar will be hosted by Adams County October 11 – 15 at the Doubletree on Highway 36 and Sheridan.  The business meeting was adjourned and there was a round table discussion by the group.

After the Break, Robert Clark, Sr. gave a lecture on “Bankruptcy”.  

That evening everyone enjoyed an Italian Buffet at Pinocchio’s.

Friday, March 12, 2010:  After Breakfast at the Holiday Inn, everyone gathered at the P.T. Training room for a lecture by Deanne Stodden on Foreclosures, Old and New Issues.

A Mexican buffet lunch was enjoyed by the group.
