THURSDAY


There were 26 present on Thursday which included 3 husbands and Bob Clark, the Assistant Douglas County Attorney. Mr. Clark presented information on Amendment 41 and Lynne Bauer presented a program on Ethics. Following the programs we held a roundtable discussion.

FRIDAY

In absence of chair Alynn Huffman, Vice-chair Lynne Bauer called the business meeting to order.  Lynn passed out some more information on Amendment 41.  Jim reported that the Continuing Ed Committee will be accepting the 2.5 hrs for the Thursday presentation as listed on the agenda.

The treasurer’s report was given and the minutes were accepted as corrected.

Discussion was held on retirement gifts, name badges and their costs.  The retirement gifts will be around $820 and the badges will be $500.  Linda reported that we will still have approximately $6500 left.  Jim asked the group if they would consider donating to the meals at quadrennial.  Karen S. moved to donate $1,500.  Susan C. seconded.  Motion passed.  Further discussion was held on what to do with the remaining funds.  Karen S. had a suggestion that maybe the Treasurers' Association would benefit from an attorney like the PT’s have.  It was decided to turn the suggestion over to the executive committee.

Legislation report: Bob S. reported on the bills concerning our Association and the group thanked Bob for all his work.

lACREOT: Connie J. reported that Michelle M. would be the new Colorado director for membership.  The conference will be in Charlotte N.C. July 15-21.

The fall meeting of the ED will be September 20-21 in Limon. The following committees were appointed.
