Speaker Joseph C Ratway gave presentation on UNDERSTANDING & MANAGING BEHAVIOR DIFFERENCES.

Roundtable discussion:  It was decided that each county send their publication statement to Linda and she will forward to Bob. 

Public Trustee discussion:  Jack Arrowsmith gave update on SMARTDOC.

September 16, 2005

Business meeting called to order by Alynn Huffman.  Treasurer’s report shows balance of $10,181.36.  Linda brought it to our attention that the balance should not exceed $10,000.00 due to IRS regulations.  Dee Ann Stults moved that the Association pay for 1 night’s lodging for paid Eastern Division members.  2^nd by Susan Cochell.  Motion passed.

Minutes were approved with the following corrections in name spelling:  Roxy, Billie and Sheaffer.

IACREOT

Connie Joiner reported that Karen Sheaffer received the Eagle Award of Waterford crystal.  Connie is one of 4 recipients of the Education Award from IACREOT.  Next conference is in San Francisco, January 20^th-25^th and July 5^th – 9^th.

ACCREDITATION

Jim Covington reported that Mesa State College replaces CSU for continuing education program.  Revamping the criteria is being considered.

eRECORDING

Jack Arrowsmith reported that title companies are concerned with using wrong form for releases.  Updates on eBuzz newsletter.

NOMINATION COMMITTEE

Connie Joiner presented the following slate of officers:

• President Alynn Huffman, Gilpin County

• Vice-President Lynne Bauer, Crowley County

• Secretary Dee Ann Stultz, Yuma County

• Treasurer Linda L. Statz, Phillips County

Jim Covington moved the slate of officers be accepted as presented.  Connie 2^nd and motion passed.

PROGRAM COMMITTEE

Karen Shaeffer. Billie Mills and Jack Arrowsmith.  Thank you for the programs this meeting.  There are “on a roll” and will arrange next programs with Karen as Chair.

ENTERTAINMENT

Jim Covington and Bob Sagel will again handle the evening’s entertainment.  Thanks for volunteering.  All attending your festivities had a good time.

SALARY COMMITTEE

Dee Ann Stults has been working on the salary committee.  This organization appreciates her efforts on behalf of the County Treasurers’ Association.

Next Meeting:  March 16 and 17, 2006 at Limon.

Rich Olsen, General Manager of Colorado Interactive present “STATE PORTAL AUTHORITY.”  This program gave information on reaching the different Colorado State programs and divisions.
