The Eastern Division of the Colorado County Treasurers' Association was established in the late 1980's as a vehicle for Treasurers on the Eastern Plains to be able to meet, share information, and discuss common problems in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. In order to maintain this comfortable setting, the instituting officers decided that the meetings would not include any vendors; not because they did not appreciate their knowledge and contributions, but to create a setting where everyone participated on an equal basis without undue pressures. The format worked so well that many other Treasurers from all over Colorado have become members. Meetings are held in Limon twice a year, usually in March and September, beginning at noon on Thursday and finishing at noon of Friday. The current dues are $100.00 per year but participants may "pay as they go".
